Worthington Pond Farm is more than a winery. It is a working farm and private park where guests are invited to wander, sit, and take in the kind of quiet that is hard to find. Whether you spend an afternoon on a picnic blanket by the pond or walk every trail on the property, there is no wrong way to spend time here.
The property is open to guests during winery hours. Trails, gardens, and outdoor seating are all free to explore. Dogs on leash are welcome throughout the grounds.

A Natural Landmark
The Covered Bridge and the pond.
At the heart of Worthington sits a beaver-created pond surrounded by open meadows and mature trees. Our Covered Bridge, built using wood harvested directly from the property, crosses the water and serves as one of the most photographed spots in northern Connecticut.
It is a backdrop for weddings, a destination for an afternoon walk, and a reminder that some things are worth building to last.

Worthington maintains over 20 meticulously kept gardens across the property, filled with thousands of varieties of day lilies, hydrangeas, hibiscus, and seasonal flowers.
Each garden has its own character and changes with the season. Spring brings early blooms while summer turns the property into something that has to be seen in person. No two visits look exactly the same.
Get Outside
Walk the trails, find a spot, stay a while.
Miles of walking trails wind through the property, connecting the gardens, the pond, the vineyard rows, and the open fields. Bring a picnic, a book, or just a glass of wine from the tasting room. The trails are open to guests during winery hours and are suitable for all ages. Dogs are welcome on leash.

Worthington offers a wide range of recreational activities across the farm and pond. Whether you are here for a morning hike, an afternoon on the water, or a winter skate, there is always something to do on the grounds.
On the Water
Fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and paddle-boating on Worthington Pond. A small fee applies for boat rentals and fishing to help maintain the pond.
On the Trails
Miles of walking and hiking trails wind through the property and connect to the neighboring Camp Aya Po trail system for over 3 miles of woodland paths.
Winter Activities
When conditions allow, trails are open for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Skating and pick-up hockey happen when the ponds freeze.
